Welcome to the new world of Frontier Ruckus!

Hello everybody,

This is Matthew of Frontier Ruckus. I would like to welcome you to/lure you within the sweetly inviting, exploratory, everdeepening world of the new www.frontierruckus.com. Please understand that it is completely and utterly a work in progress and always shall be–its point is to strive after pure dynamism: constant creational pilings, expanding richness and depth of mythology, interactive content, contribution, collaboration, strange intertexuality, enormous childhood-vestigial clutter all within excessive cataloging and impossible organization. This process is truly representative of what’s at the heart of Frontier Ruckus: putting the cruelly abundant constructs and ideas and memories and plans and souvenirs and soccer trophies and whatnot of the past–even the just-then past–into some sort of manageable container where the contents become less crippling to the wielder, who is then provided some agency in his holy obsession.

It shall be meticulous, comprehensive, unyielding in its tireless detailing of experience and condition and existence. I hope! I would document every square inch of my childhood home if I could, from where I type, and plan to! With four arrows you will crudely move about the cramped and tender corners as if inside a beautifully primitive 90s computer game.

Please note the “Connect” section where you will find The Off-Ramp Island–what will hopefully become a venue for fun dialogue about all sorts of topics. I am excited about this experiment.

Perhaps this can be our ambitious challenge: does language/creation/expression, even with its incredible diversity/humanity/potential, stand a chance against the innumerable minutiae of experience, the ineffable pathos of life’s infinity? Can we outcreate experience/memory to render it less amorphous and unwieldy in our psyches. Do we need to?

I or one of the other guys will probably post something about the terrific two-month western campaign from which we just arrived home. In five days we leave again for a month in Europe and are very ecstatic over what that adventure may hold.

Thanks so much!
