At the request of Matthew, this thread will discuss poetry. I think it would be a good idea to discuss both the poems found here http://www.frontierruckus.com/media/text , in addition to poems in general (i.e., whatever you like).
Post your favorites (the title at least), some of your thoughts on the poems, and hopefully this will mark the beginnings of some substantial intellectual discussion.
So, I was intrigued when I found out the poem "Johnny Appleseed and the Parking Lots of the Great American Metropolis" was not intended to be about frustration with urbanization, but rather a kind of pleasure in it.
